Yukiko Sekiya was born and raised in Tokyo (japan). Earned a diploma in European pastry from L’École de Minako Imada, Tokyo. Trained in a pastry shop in Tokyo, them moved to San Francisco (California), deciding to further develop her skills and pursue her career. She attended and Earned a diploma at CCA (California Culinary Academy) then apprenticed at Campton Place Hotel while learning hospitality management at San Francisco State university. She worked in MC2 Restaurant and Zero Cafe as pastry assistant and pastry chef in San Francisco.
She moved to Montreal and started Yuki Bakery with her husband, Hank.
Dedicated to the principle of small, top quality neighborhood bakeries, Yuki oversees every aspect of recipe creation, ingredient selection, preparation and baking.
